Hi everybody!

The old spell Darkness (206) has been moved to the EVOKE version of the Light (205) spell to make room for a newcomer!

Tend Lore (206) has been reintroduced! It is a self-cast spell with a 60 second refreshable duration. When TENDing or DIAGNOSEing, it adds 20 (+1 per seed 2 summation of Spiritual Lore, Blessings) ranks of First Aid to the caster, and reduces TEND times by 25%.

~ Konacon

PS: This spell does not have any effect on skinning!

Didn't see this one coming, but, if I remember to use it, sounds like a nice feature.

Eh, I wish it was in a minor list so more people could get use out of it. Don't know what spell it would replace though. Maybe roll disease/poison resist into one, too, like they did for light/dark.

FYI I've asked Estild if he (or another GM) wants to attempt the setup on the Tend Lore spell page on the Wiki. Please give them a few days.

Gosh, it's a good thing they nerfed the wizard spell list in order to allow room for powerful spells like this....

Oh go fucking fuck yourself, you fucking fucktard (I tried to fit another f-bomb in there, but nothing really sounded right)

I'm sorry you have a dick so far up your ass that you couldn't recognize an attempt at humor.

I'm a little underwhelmed by this change, given that only 2 classes can access the 200s and one of them doesn't really need this to start with? Shouldn't that go in the cleric circle?

Why wouldn't Empaths need it? Don't they tend themselves on occasion or other people if they can't heal the person?

It adds first aid, which empaths train at 1/2/4. It could be effective for a very young empath who has to tend some wounds, but otherwise the empath will probably be well trained in FA if they care about tending at all.

edit: To answer the second question, I don't believe I've ever seen a reasonably high level empath tending wounds instead of just taking them, but I don't sit around in town squares so who knows what those empaths do. I can tell you that I personally have never once even thought about tending anyone after passing level 18 or somewhere around there. If I can't take a wound that someone needs, I just heal mine down until I can.

I agree, it's rare at best to see a high level Empath need it. I was just curious. It definitely has helped me as a Cleric though, but would not want it as a Cleric spell. And actually, the overall change to the whole tend verb has been nice.

Maybe more empaths use tend than I think, who knows. They could be out there using diagnose and tending wounds instead of just appraising and healing for exp, but I suspect they are just RPing as GS3 characters if so.

It's very useful for Clerics who don't have an Empath around to heal before raising. The spell will also be commonly available on scrolls and magic items. Should be plentiful off the shelf at festivals as well. The spell also came with the tend and diagnose changes, which benefit everyone.

Would have rather had it in the minor circle. Since its a pretty minor spell.

Slow and Unpresence aren't really blowing minds these days.

what would be nice is if they introduced the alchemy item as a potion, so that way it doesn't require MIU. I can see significant demand for that, now with the TEND update.

Very reasonable suggestion. Throw it up on the officials. I'll second it.

Unpresence is a boss spell.
