Should hit 25 tonight... better move to bond to a 2x claidh or a perfect 6x T3 maul? Maul seems like the long-term solution, but at 25 I won't be able to reliably aim swings, so does the weighting on the claidh trump the advantages of the maul for a while?
Thanks.

You can bond and rebond as much as you'd like. My Pally is around 50 and has been bonded to a few different weapons. It doesn't really take that long to get full with a new weapon. Try it out.

It's like 2500 kills to get a full bond.

It's not necessarily FAST imo..but in GS time it's pretty quick considering other wait times...but its all in how much you hunt/play and uphunt. Personally, switching bonds for me is a pain because the benefits at the higher tiers is that good and I wind up missing it for a good bit until the bond matures...once you get bond 1 and flares back things can kick off and that happens fast.
The above choices are a personal preference. Do you want the weighting of the claidh, or do you want guiding light flares and the ensorc flares? Personally, Id go with the maul...I find the ensorc flares to be invaluable and guiding light is OP.

Compared to those nervestaves, this is like a day. I'm just saying, I've bonded, unbonded, rebonded, unbonded again to enchant, and rebonded in probably the same amount of time. It goes by quick and you already start out better at the first cast of 1625. And it only goes up from there.

What was fun for me was attuning a smart weapon...eventhough they're semi crap in terms of flares depending on which one you got, the scripts after unlocking them are some of the coolest I've seen for an easily bonded item

My paladin is bonded to a maul and stuff still dies pretty quickly, bonded to it at 25 and never looked back.

I basically decided to choose option 3 and just bought the 6x Iasha white ora lance that's been up for sale since I've always been partial to polearms, I'll just deal with the slightly higher training cost vs. 2h. I appreciate the input though folks.

I love Iasha weapons.
I wish 1604 worked with them.
i was bonded to an iasha flamberge and absolutely loved it, it flares alot, the knockdown flare was great, and over all i found it to be better than the double 1604 flares. I would still be using it if i hadnt come across a weapon that for roleplay reasons i had to take. good luck with the lance, I am sure it will serve you well.
