Preferably at least 6x with some sort of weighting, no preference on crit or damage since I'll be hunting a lot of non-crittable stuff.

Not all that interested in flares unless they hit really hard for some reason.

Maul, greatsword, or claidhmore (claid doesn't have to be 6x) preferred but I'm open to other types depending on the stats. I'm not too familiar with the pecking order on 2H weapons, but as far as I know these are the 3 hardest hitting types. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Might also consider a good lance, as I've been on the fence about switching to polearm, but chances are I won't because I don't want to deal with finding polearm enhancives.

Ah... non-crittable shit sort of knocks mauls/mattocks out of the running. They do wonders on the head, eyes and neck but everywhere else requires a good endroll.

I'll still be hunting crittable stuff, mainly in the Rift and probably some Nelemar which isn't hard at all, but I also plan on hunting the Confluence a lot, which nothing in there crits, so high DF and/or damage weighting should be more useful in there.

What would you say the best weapon is strictly for non-crittable stuff? RT isn't an issue, as I can swing anything in 1 second.

Crit weighting still helps on crit immune things, unless you are always triggering a rank 9 it will probably add more damage than an all but obscenely damage weighted item. They still take the extra HP damage the higher crit rank would have caused.

Of the three you mentioned, greatswords have the highest DF factor until you hit plate, then mauls have the edge there. It'll likely boil down to your choice but at the moment, greatswords are your best option.

There's also this. I honestly dislike hunting uncrittable things with a claidh though, so it's more of a personal choice.

I changed my mind, I think I want something really badass, like something with double strikes or whatever other crazy shit is out there.

What's out there that falls into this category, even if it's not for sale/no longer around?

There are one or two blink two handers
There is- or was- a coraesine flamberge I believe
There was the Steel Katana (I think it's gone though)
There are one or two greater black ora THWs, but they aren't viable at cap
There are a few nice Ironwright THWs out there- at least one Lance that also has undead bane
There is a sancted 4x acid immolation jeddart axe

That's and all that's neat and coming to mind, but I don't track THW super closely

jeddart axe is a pole arm not a thw

Not really looking to sell either at the moment, but I have:

8x perfect forged maul w/ Ironwright flares (Unbalance, Plasma)
7x perfect rolaren mattock w/ expert crit weighting, undead bane (fire flares), and fully unlocked Gory scripts

I sold a 6x blink claid to another wizard maybe a year ago. Don't remember who though

I think the greataxe is superior to the greatsword overall; it has superior DF and AvD for cloth and chain, equal DF and AvD for scale and plate and only loses out to the greatsword against leather.

I can say blink is quite nice as a hasted warmage. The black ash mattocks are a nice choice though for uncrittable creatures. I have one with grimswarm bane, but wish I'd put my magic bane on it instead of a claidh. I think it works on elementals.

*edited to remove my THW list since I'm not interested in trading them either, just wanted to join the discussion. :)
