I always consider it just a form of bullying, and about as far from roleplay as one can get, next to just killing/attacking them. Not sure what the majority of the log was supposed to involve, however.

Uh, I would think it's fairly obvious. Referring to a well-known TV show that consists of children playing in a room and relating it to a situation taking place in Elanthia is indicating that the two are somehow similar. Unless people knew what "Romper Room" was, the comment would be completely ridiculous and have no basis whatsoever.

This is why references to pop culture are, in fact, OOC. You wouldn't call a bardess Britney Spears, or say, "Who's performing on Star Search tonight?" Or hell, maybe you would.

And as for Philo sleeping Maimara for what seemed like an unknown reason, I agree I hate it when people cast at Eider or use guild skills making it so that she cant RP, considering Eider rarely talks it makes it bloody hard to do anything when she's paralyzed or whatever. If you want to RP that you hate someone at least give them the chance to RP back, instead of just throwing around your CS/AS/CMAN skills etc.

I can honestly say that Nazradin was trying to instigate a fight, though had it happened it would have ruined the fun for everyone(sorry for rhyming). Nazradin is known for handing out sleep in the park, he also wakes those he sleeps up instantly. Another thing to consider is sometimes people whisper for me to sleep them, considering it being a non-lethal way to check one's elemental TD. Though I am saddened Phil jumped into Maimara and Nazradin's argument, I can't justify him sleeping her nor can I argue against it. I don't have too many interactions with Philosian to judge his RP, and I definetly won't judge it based on what others think. All in all, it made my night a bit more fun.

let me rephrase, the gm's are the ones who allow modern things in the game and do nothing to stop it, like the example I gave. Its up to them what is allowed or not, and making a vague refrence to a tv show that a great number of people know nothing about is not something to get stick up your ass about.

If thats true, that you only see Snowy when she is in a fight, I would attribute that to either (a) 2x hiding, or (b) A complete lack of observation on your part.

I am, for sure no shining example of Roleplay, but then I am not the one to go so far as to say that an entire population of people dont roleplay.

Ok, first, when I said it I wasn't making a referance to a TV show. I didnt think "Oh shit, there's a TV show that 3 people might remember" until after I said it.

Just because there was a tv show called "Silver spoons" doesnt mean someone can't say "Her children were brought up with silver spoons in their mouthes". Or what about "She knows nothing of the facts of life. or how about even "Hey, it takes different strokes to rule the world"

Just from seeing the logs on here that PB has posted, I'd say you're wrong. PB seems to be an excellent roleplayer.

I don't understand the RP snobs on here as of late. People complain about lack of RP, then when people actually do, they say it's not good enough. :shrug:

And I wouldn't consider Mistomeer a roleplaying snob. He simply has a different opinion that I do as to what a good roleplayer is. I classify a good roleplayer as someone who is always in character. I do not believe that a good roleplayed character has to be nice.

Everytime I am in the park I see Philosian stunning, silencing, binding Candor. Then other people would jump in and sleep Candor. On sight. No conversation. Just casting. Not that I care either way but thats what I see constantly. I am beginning to feel sorry for the guy, heh. Someone stop me. Candor doesn't even have time to say his favorite All hail Candor line.
