It should reset the next time you start your gift/the hook phrase shows. But yea, that's a long time to wait!

I had the opposite problem. It showed me as having 3x time left when the entire thing had been used and wasn't showing under EXP.

It sounds like you set your system date back by a month or so.

I just updated infomon to pull the gift restart time from "lumnis info", so typing that might get you back on track. That will also make ;magic stop telling you gift is active if it's not. If gift is active and ;magic says it's not, this won't fix that, since "lumnis info" doesn't tell you how much of your gift is left. Waiting for the next gift to start should work too.

Ah you were right. Using the date/time feature in the lower right hand corner, I was checking which day of the week a date fell on in December. And I never set it back. All is now well.
