The only change I made to her look from the head and shoulders shot previously posted are that the hair is down and she has stronger makeup to balance the colorful hair. Uncompressed image: http://i.imgur.com/qEpN9Uj.jpg

Love the render, but I think the arrow is on the wrong side?
  3. Tisket
I think you are correct. And I've even discussed arrow placement with BriarFox. Some student I turned out to be. I might just have to redo this.

I would say that it is not incorrect. The famous Mongel archers would fire arrows on the right side of the bow as they could fire arrows faster. They also used their thumb to draw the string back.

Maybe I'm completely ignorant when it comes to archery, but wouldn't the placement of the arrow depend on which hand you were pulling the arrow back with? In this case right handed would mean right side of bow?
  6. Tisket
If holding the bow in the left hand then presumably someone would reach for arrows with their right hand. It does seem awkward to then try to get the arrow to the opposite side of the bow. Now I am totally confused.
  7. Androidpk
That is exactly why. They would also hold multiple arrows in the right hand with their fingers.

It is incorrect, though it would be correct if she was left handed. The correct hand placement on the string when pulled back creates pressure against the shaft of the arrow in the direction of the back of your hand, this presses the tip of the shaft against the bow when held on the left side of the handle/arrow rest (for right handers)

Still a very cool pic though.

    You know nothing, gsPirate.

Placement of the arrow looks correct to me.
